Work continues behind the scenes as we build our vision into a reality.  We are using the work of Simon Sinek and Julia Atkin to guide our thinking, ensuring that our vision is reflected in the principles and practices we develop for Ararira Springs Primary. Every decision is linked to ‘why?’

At the centre of our thinking is our vision statement, “cultivating curiosity and capabilities in our ākonga to enhance the world.” This will drive not only the curriculum design and development but also the way that the school functions.

We are aspiring to foster learners who are empowered to make change and be change agents. We want them to care, about each other and the world we live in.

We currently have three values guiding our thinking; inquiry, empathy and responsibility. If we were to add values, what is it that you consider important enough to be at the centre of learning at Ararira Springs Primary? Why?

Please add your thoughts below and we look forward to workshopping these ideas with you in Term 2.
